I've tried to read this book many times, but I just can't get into it. I've given up because I guess it's not meant to be.
I went my entire 37 years without having ever read an Oz book, so now I'm making up for lost time. This one was very interesting and compelling enough that I have committed to reading the rest of the series. There's a lot more to Oz than what you see in the movie! The biography of L. Frank Baum is very interesting as well.
If the idea of a disease that causes people to bleed out under their skin freaks you out, then don't read this book.Otherwise, enjoy! :)
It's interesting to think there's a "parallel universe," for lack of a better description--an active spirit world all around us.
This book stays on our coffee table. It's weird--you want to wrap all the pages around into circles. Pretty cool.
This is a book no one has ever heard of but me. :PIt's the story of a starving artist in NY, who basically gets "discovered" by a rich woman with nothing better to do than sleep with starving artists. That's a terrible description, I know, but I enjoyed it and read it several times.
